Joe's guitar had been stripped and painted flat black. The black had leached into the grain and we didn't think we'd be able to save it at first.
Then we came up with a sort of "whitewash" that really helped (photo right).
After applying the whitewash over the whole guitar we refinished it in a classic wine red. The color appears different in some pictures due to the difference between shade vs. sun.
Joe gave the guitar to his son for a Christmas present.
