Robin had always wanted a Custom SANTANA model PRS. Then, after getting it, he managed to meet Carlos, who graciously signed and dated Robin's guitar. Robin asked us to seal the autograph permanently so it would never fade.

We began by wet-sanding the clearcoat everywhere but on the signature. We have used this technique for decades, and have preserved the signatures of Jimmy Page, BB King, Slash, Merle Haggard, and more. It's a delicate job, but somebody's got to do it ;-)

Then we carefully applied new coats of clear nitro lacquer, and after curing for a time, we sanded and polished out the finish to its final, as-good-as-new lustre.
