This method locks your strings so they can't stretch. There's more to it than they discuss here, but this is a very good basic technique.

BILL BAKER ON HOW TO RESTRING A 3-ON-A-SIDE GUITAR

A bit wordy but there's lots of good info. Bill's method is a bit less secure than the first one above, but it's still way better than most. These two videos can be applied to most guitars, even 6-on-a-side Fenders with modern style tuners. 

BILLY PENN ON HOW TO CHANGE STRINGS WITH VINTAGE KLUSONS

This is for Fenders with 6 on-a-side vintage Kluson tuners that have the slotted posts. Billy leaves out some important info, but if you watch him carefully you should get the drift. I also don't believe it's necessary to put as many wraps as he does on the top 2 strings. More wraps means more stretching.

PLEASE NOTE: There are TONS of amateur videos on this subject, most of which are either incomplete or poorly produced. Many forget to give the viewer basic info essential to a satisfactory outcome - even some of the pros do this.   And some are just flat WRONG!
